If you are new to massage in general or just new to Radiant Bliss, here are some helpful tips and useful information to make your visit an absolute success.

We are conveniently located Downtown Rochester in the Main Street Plaza on the second floor.  Metered parking is available off Main or there is a parking structure directly behind the building.

We recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment in order to fill out your health history form if you did not receive an email link to do so online.  Save time and print out the form to complete in advance of your visit.

If you are pregnant or have health issues or concerns please consult your doctor before treatment.

After filling out your health history, your therapist will review and discuss your massage preferences and treatment plan if applicable.

Your therapist will exit the room to allow you to disrobe. We recommend undressing down to your underwear however, you can receive an effective, therapeutic massage regardless of what clothing (if any) you choose to remove. Your comfort and ability to relax is your therapist's top priority.

Once disrobed to your comfort level, lay face down on the table with your face in the face cradle, cover yourself with the provided sheet/blanket, and wait for your therapist to knock on the door.  (If there are any health issues that prevent you from laying on your stomach, please notify your therapist).

Massage Session

To get the most from the session just try to relax, let your thoughts wander, and do not focus on stressful thoughts.  If you are having trouble or tension in your muscles, then let your therapist know as they may need to change their technique. It is normal to experience differing emotions and it is okay to speak, or even fall asleep - what ever you are comfortable with.  Just relax and let your worries go.

Remember that you can ask for changes to make you comfortable, such as if you are cold, or wish to let the massage therapist know that you are uncomfortable with specific areas of your body being touched. Your massage therapist is trained to ensure the sheet on the massage table always drapes you and protects your privacy. Only the body part being worked on will be uncovered.

Your therapist will ask you periodically whether the pressure is okay. You should also feel free to communicate with your therapist about pressure at any time, as well as about draping or any pain you might be feeling throughout the massage. You can expect complete quiet from your therapist or relaxing conversation if you prefer. There will be calming music played, unless you don’t want it.

Once the massage is complete your therapis will leave the room while you get dressed. When you’re ready, open the door to signal to your therapist to come back. They’ll then provide you water, self-care advice/follow up and any recommended treatment plans.

Feel free to ask your therapist any questions you may have at this point. They’ll then escort you to reception to book your next visit.  You may pay for your service in the form of cash, check or credit card.

After Your Session

Don't forget to hydrate.  Many toxins get released during a massage, so drink plenty of water to flush them out.

Take the rest of the day off and enjoy the full benefits of the massage!  Well that one might be tough to do but the longer you can enjoy a peaceful relaxing atmosphere the better :)
